In 2014, the Radboud University granted a pilot project leaded by the Donders Institute to develop an infrastructure for research data management.
In this project, I played the role of designing the system architecture and investigating suitable technology used for developing the system. I also introduced the usage of the iRODS system to implement the policy-driven data management.
Since the launch of the Donders Repository in 2017, the system has been part of the data-management workflow of the Donders Insitute. Thousands of researchers have been using this sytem to build and share valuable research datasets with their world-wide collaborators.
In 2020, the development of the Donders Repository was continued by the Radboud University to develop a university-wise repository for research data.
